These gloves kept my hands warm in 35�F temp, but they're not completely waterproof, especially when used for a few hours in light, consistent rain -- my hands felt moist, but not to an uncomfortable point. The seams began to fray around the fingers after a few days of heavy use (handling rough materials outdoor), and after two weeks, the spandex material near the side of the finger was torn (right next to the seam that holds the bottom and top of the finger together. I can now see the inner plastic liner which I assume is the waterproofing layer. If I can redesign the glove, I'd improve on the waterproofing and include a larger leather wrap-around of the fingers.. meaning lesser chance of the cloth catching on to any rough material.
