Product Description

The Oregon 82-493 is a spindle assembly for AMF that fits 36, 38, 39, 40, and 42-inch decks for Dynamark mowers and Lawn chief model 1239. It has a height of 6-1/2-inch and a pulley diameter of 5-1/2-inch. The blade width measures 2-inch. This part replaces AMF 51450, 56424, 39493, Lawn Chief 015891, Lawn Chief 094920, Noma 307534, and Noma 779066.

Casting is a little rough. Also, the holes were not tapped for the 5/16th bolts. There are eight total holes in the flange. The four holes in the bosses were drilled smaller and should have been tapped like on the original OEM part. The four holes without bosses were drilled for 5/16th bolts so rather than trying to tap the flange I put the bolts in the unreinforced holes. It will probably hold up just fine and my mower operates perfectly, but it is indicative of the lack of care and quality control on this part.

All that said, the bearings spin well and seem free of play. The part works fine, I just had to work around and use some nylok nuts and locking washers on 5/16th bolts instead of threading directly into flange like the original part.
