10/09/2103. This line works great! One 21" piece which is required to load my trimmer head will do my entire yard. This includes a lot of edging next to concrete. Because of the large diameter, it's somewhat stiff and a bit of a challenge to insert into the trimmer head. However, once it's in and you start to trim, you will be AMAZED at how well it cuts. In the past, I had used bump-and-go heads with .095"-.105" line. This worked pretty well but gave the typical hassles of broken line and head jams. Now, I just put in a fresh piece of line before the weekly trim and do the whole yard without ever having to stop for line troubles. Not one problem after 5 weekly trims! And, because it cuts so well, you will also save time. I use it with a Shindaiwa Heavy Duty Fixed-Line Head, P/N 80794A. I adapted the head to work on a straight shaft Stihl trimmer with a 1.66 cubic inch, 1.01 HP engine. You really need 1 plus HP with the larger .155" - .170" lines. Otherwise, you could overload the engine and damage it. My 1-Pound roll is marked as 91' or 28M in length.
