This is a two line head, you push the line in the wide side and leave 1/4" or 1" sticking out the small hole on the opposite side for later removal, it only lets the line through one way.

Initially I had some trouble getting the head on my craftsman weed eater but once I did it works great.

The included .080 line pieces were only about 8 inches long having a 17 inch trimmer i made mine about 11 or 12" long to account for the 1 inch out the small hole the 3 inches of the head and 7 or 8 of the actual usable line.

I bought some craftsman .080 line and made them as long as my trimmer normally uses and with 1 inch sticking out the side instead of 1/4" like the directions state, otherwise it was hard to remove the used lines, on the other hand with more than about an inch the lines flew out. (I had to use needle nose pliers to get the used line out when I only left 1/4 inch)
