ADVANTAGES

1. The warranty is seven years - the longest in the industry.

2. Hitachi equipment is manufactured by Tanaka - a subsidiary. Before its takeover by Hitachi, this company made commercial grade equipment and had a stellar reputation for manufacturing the highest quality goods. . . . I have yet to hear anything negative from anyone who is familiar with the firm or any of its products. These include end users, after market attachment manufacturers, repair people, and professionals in the field.

3. Compared to its competitors, the motor runs smooth and very quiet.
.
4. The unit runs after one or two pulls on the engine cord.
.
5. It is well balanced.
.
6. The air filter is over-sized to minimized air intake blockage.
.
7. The service department responds within 24 hours by telephone and email. The person is not from India or Mexico and speaks English with no foreign accent.

2. The instruction manual is very sparse in information. The illustrations are very amateurism.

3. If you do not like the standard bumper string load system that comes with the unit and want a replacement head that employs pre-cut strings, there is only one alternative. The Grass Gator 5600 is the only after market device that will attach to the CG24EKSL. The kit has a stainless steel nut that fits the head shaft. All other competing products, like Rhino-Tuff, provide only three nuts - none will work. Believe it or not, the Tanaka No Brainer will not fit either. . . . This is ridiculous. Tanaka makes an attachment that will not work with its own equipment.

The fit is not exact during installation of the Grass Gator 5600 - there is a 1/8 inch gap between the attachment and the rotating head of the Hitachi grass trimmer. To close this, you need to put in a steel washer with a 0.5 inch diameter hole. This can be purchased from Lowes.

This is the best weed whacker cutter head I have ever owned. I have had, Stihl, Homelite, Poulan, and Troy-Bilt weed eaters and the Tanaka is bar none the best of the lot. This fully automatic cutter head is the cats paw. Load it up with string and it cuts flawlessly until the string is expired. I use only the Tanaka .095 string also. I replaced a dead 3.5 hp Tecumseh engine on my MTD chipper with this and I am very pleased. It started right up on 1 pull the first time, no more than 2 to 3 pulls after that. Definitely worth the money and saved me big bucks buying a new chipper. I like that it has a fuel cutoff so the carberator does not flood when sitting like the Tecumseh.

Blue Universal Tractor Seat is a great seat, very comfortable, Negatives are no instructions comes with the seat, you are on your own to figure out how to fit it to your tractor. Be ready to drill, and my case cut and weld to make it fit rite, If you own a tractor, you should be able to over come these small problems. My tractor was a Ford 1910, the base plate had to be re-drilled
(Be careful to remember if you turn the base plate over to make drilling in a drill press easier, the holes will be backwards!) Also the rear fender brace
had to be cut, and welded to give the seat room to adjust backwards. Small problems, Just do not think, this is a bolt on job, Time to install:(1.5 hrs).
All in all I am very happy with the seat, a good value, no more sore butt, or torn pants from a worn out seat, should have brought one years ago!!
