Through the years had several gas-powered (won't start, greasy, etc.) and corded (drag the cord around) blowers. Knew the wife'd like a light-weight electric, provided it had enough power and the battery lasted long enough to get the job done. This one's perfect for the job and she loves it. Power-wise, it can't compare to the gas or corded units, but it's plenty good enough to move grass clippings from the sidewalks and leaves from the landscaping rock. And it uses the same battery as our trimmer (that was intentional), which came with 2 batteries (ordered this blower without a battery), but one battery's more than enough to finish our corner lot. Very small and lightweight/easy to handle. Fairly quiet as well; far quieter than the gas/corded ones. Starts everytime (of course), no grease, no fumes/smell, and it's more environmentally-friendly. Very happy with it. Not real powerful, but powerful enough. And all the other benefits easily outweigh the lesser power.
