I purchased my McLane Reel mower several years ago at an estate sale. It had been used on a huge lawn of turf grass.
(bermuda).

The yard had the appearance of a golf course. While the machine was a little rusty...the briggs magnetron 3hp engine started on the third pull. The mower is the envy of the neighborhood, as it's self propelled wheels push through my St. Augustine grass with precision and ease.

The front mounted grass catcher (( an option worth purchasing )) seems bulky and in the way, but is not.

This is a professional machine in every sense of the word.

I highly recommend the McLane Mower to any pro; or home owner who is serious about the appearance of their lawn.

Oregon Gator Mulcher 3-N-1 Lawn Mower Blade For AYP/Poulan 18.5-Inch 187254 95-605 Review

I purchased to mulch on a newer sears craftsman riding mower. These blades replaced a Sears mulching kit that was just a few months old, but wasn't mulching very well. I have an extremely think 1.5 acre lawn, and unlike the Sears blades, the Oregon blades mulch it just great. I find I get the best results when I remove the mulch plug and have the Oregon Gator blades on the tractor. The thing that surprises me the most, however, is that the cutting is also better than the Sears mulching blade. I get a much more even cut from these than from the Sears mulching blades. I had read the cutting is better in other reviews, I guess because the blades are heavier, but I really am surprised by the extent of the difference. Bottom line, they work!

Well, I got these to replace the worn wheels on my Toro. The gear teeth on the old wheels were in decent shape, but the tread had worn off, leaving slicks. I got these new wheels and went to install them right away. It took me about 1 minute per wheel to change (the hardest part was finding my ratchet), and the new wheels work great. Just 1 bolt to remove & replace, plus a washer on the inside of the wheel (it has wide surface and a narrow surface, so pay attention to the orientation when you remove the old wheel).
