First, let me say the engine works great and installation only took a couple of hours. Shipping was much faster than expected, actually arrived a day ahead of schedule.

Just don't purchase the item based on the picture. I bought the engine trying to replace my 31C707-2026-G1 engine. The image shown on the page (as of the date of this review) is of a 31C707-2026-G5 engine, not the 3005-G5 the listing is actually for. I did not take a close enough look at the model numbers listed on the page before hitting the purchase button. Fortunately the crankshaft size and the starter are the same, so I was able to modify this engine to fit my mower. Now I have a bonus pull starter on my electric start JD100 series mower.
