Dixon Armrest 17567 Replacement (Pair) Review

The mower I was working on that needed a new armrest pad was a Dixon ZTR model 4518 manufactured in 2002. The exact replacement pad is not available except as a complete kit for a whopping $120. So I purchased a pair of these instead - at a bargain price.

They're very well made and, to me, they look like the original equipment on certain other Dixon models.

Adapting them to the 4518 was a simple matter of making a cardboard template for locating the holes for the two 1/4-20 bolts, then drilling the holes in each armrest support and bolting them on. The mounting surface itself is recessed about 1/4" which allows the bracket to be seated up into the pad hiding any exposed metal edges. Someone not intimately familiar with the Dixon 4500 series would never know they're not the factory armrests. I'm quite pleased with the result.
