Seeder Blade / Ryan 516900 Review

I purchased these blades based on the description. The blade them selves appear to be good quality by Stens. The problem I have is that the center hex is not 1" as advertised, it is 1 - 1/16". When I had contacted Stens and questioned them on the spec they told me that the center hex can vary + or - a 1/16". (hard to believe that.) Note: I am not using these for a Ryan seeder, as they may work fine for that make/model machine. Giving three star rating for the Stens spec not being correct, should list as 1-1/16" center hex. (No problem with Amazon or the Chicago Lawn and snow blower where I purchased them, they will refund)

My Tanaka line trimmer originally came with a large spool of orange coloured Tanaka cutting line, which worked perfectly. When it eventually ran out I bought some generic (but not low cost) line with the same diameter and expected it to work the same, but it didn't! That stuff kept sticking and causing problems with the 'brain' (auto feed) head of the tool, until I discovered it was simply softening and sticking to itself in the spool head (the head gets warm in use). After muttering some expletives I went to a mower shop and bought some more genuine Tanaka line in a big packet. That new Tanaka line worked fine, although it was not near as fluoro coloured as the original line that came with the machine (and took a while to use up). This latest lot I simply bought on Amazon, it's the correct size and an even bigger spool (1 kilo). The price is low, the colour is bright orange once again, the plastic container is better than the very thin cardboard boxes of the last spools, and the product works just fine. No melting, no jamming in the dispenser box, no running out for a while, and more visible also which is a good thing. Very pleased with this purchase. I'm sure some other lines must also be good, but I don't recommend endless experimenting when I know which product gives no problems :-)

Bought this at my local K-mart to replace my old Black & Decker trimmer. This one works great! has blades on both sides, good enough power for light to medium jobs and a guard to protect your hands from going close to the blade and keep flying debris out of your face. The trimmer has a two button system for child-safety and to keep it from going on at the wrong moments. I highly recommend this hedge trimmer.

My Honda snowblower (HS621AS) was long overdue for new paddles. It could hardly pick up loose snow and throw it afar even though it still has a good engine and other parts. After replacing the paddles, it works so great as if it were a new snowblower! My guess is they will last for a few years. I think these replacement paddles are great and definitely recommend them if your snowblower need them as mine did.
